Mawlana speaks to the well known Ḥadīth "umirtu an uqātila n-nās ḥattá yaqūlū lā ilaha illā Llāh”. I am ordered to fight people until they accept the truth that Allah is God, not their egos. The ego within is the real enemy of man. It accepts no one but itself. It must be fought. How could a Prophet be sent with the truth and not fight its enemies.

Sayyidinā Ibrāhīm (as)

Five times a day we are invited to make mi‘rāj to our Lord ﷻ. To find the sweet taste of prayer and dhikr takes patience. In the last days more women than men will be praying. Mawlānā gives examples of two saintly women, Rābi‘ah al-‘Adawiyah and the Aunt of Grandsheikh ‘Abdu Llāh.

Certainty (Yaqīn)

There is a belief about believing also: There must be certainty. Only those who have it can give it, otherwise it is like eating plastic fruit. Certainty belongs to the heart, action to the organs. Keeping the Lord’s ﷻ relationship in the heart improves certainty. Wrong actions weaken it. When certainty is strong the heart commands the organs.

How to Control Anger

A thirsty Sulṭān would give half his kingdom just for a cup of water in a desert and the other half, for the comfort of relieving himself. So taught his Shaykh to Hārūn ar-Rashīd, the great khalīfah. Awliyā’ ask only for their Lord. Who seeks must seek through them. Who finds, finds everything.

Advice: Anger, Divorce

Mawlānā’s advice on the subject of anger is that it destroys faith. Who when tested, stands firm against it, will be dressed and summoned to the Assembly of the Awliyā’. Allāh ﷻ then becomes their ally and defender. On the subject of marriage Mawlānā advises that there should be agreement on both sides.

The Value of a Person

The value of a person is the degree of his faith. What is its sign? The light of faith has entered his heart. Nothing can prevent this light when it comes from Allāh ﷻ. Reaching it is difficult, distant and dangerous. The inheritors of the prophets can clarify and complete mankind’s values according to what they received on the Day of Promises. No one can reach his heavenly position without following those who belong to the heavens.
