Ḥadīth: "Part of a person being a good Muslim is to quit that which does not concern him.” Mawlānā emphasizes its gravity for mankind, saying, for Believers and all others, there are two directions. To quit that which does not concern them, or, to concern themselves with it. Understanding and practicing this can save Humanity.
Sunday
Jul04 2010 English 45min
Why are the Muslims taking Sunday to be their day of freedom, following the non-believers? They must leave this and trust that Allāh ﷻ is Mutakāfil, their Protector and Guarantor.
Ask Them
Jul03 2010 English 43min
From where did the salafi get their name, from heaven or from their egos? Those who follow their egos in this life will be asked and will be cleaned by the fire. When they are clean they will enter a heaven different from the one reserved for those who died clean.
Ease Not Hardship
Jun30 2010 English 42min
Allāh ﷻ declares that He ﷻ intends ease for man, not hardship. Man is running after suffering and misery. Where are the learned scholars of Islām to teach this? The Salafī ‘ulamā’ with all their resources could make the true way clear for the Muslim World. Instead of teaching real belief they are occupied with the irrelevant. A grave sin. The final judgement will be for Allāh Almighty, not the Salafī ‘ulamā’.
And Your Clothing Purify (74:4)
Jun29 2010 English 46min
Allah is al-Quddus. He likes people to be clean. Mawlana asks the Salafi ulama why Allah wants His servants to come to Him clean, outwardly and spiritually. The Sahaba understood this. They were trained and prepared by the Prophet for their souls to be dressed by al-Quddus. The Salafi ulama need such a teacher says Mawlana, someone to make them clean, to understand the significance behind the words: “And your clothing purify”.
The Purpose of Existence
Jun28 2010 English 41min
Now mankind is looking and searching. It has no base to stand on. Man wants to know his identity and the purpose of his existence. The Salafīs and Wahhābīs wish to reform Islām. What is the basis for this? Can those with imitated titles explain why we have been created? They must only speak the truth. They must remind all nations that men are servants and our purpose servanthood.
O Wahabis, Be Gentlemen
Jun27 2010 English 38min
What is man asking? Pleasure. Without pleasing his Creator there can be no pleasure. This is the only way; a point that Salafi ulama must make clear to people. Servants need reminding that the angel of death may come anytime. The days of life are numbered. Where are the books of the Wahabi to remind this? They must leave argument and roughness; take care not to attack those who follow the Sunnah. And, as Allah says, be gentle in their dealings with the People of Scripture. They must give pleasure to others and be gentlemen.
Two Hundred Years of Wahabism
Jun26 2010 English 42min
Those who stand in respect of the Prophet are falling in error according to the Wahabi. Their understanding is imprisoned. Let us learn by analogy, says Mawlana. Angels stand, bow and prostrate in glory to their Creator. When attending His Majesty’s presence, your excellencies also remain standing until His Majesty arrives. Why? Has the Lord dressed His Majesty the same as them? Nor can they claim that the Prophet is a man like themselves. No, he received revelation. They did not. Thirteen centuries of real belief against the falseness of two hundred years of Wahabism.
Unknown, To Be Nothing
Jun24 2010 English 37min
The purpose of Man is to reach higher and higher stations. The ego’s desires weigh man down. Wanting himself seen, man falls. Unless he sacrifices himself, he cannot rise, he cannot reach Oneness. To be known in one’s real being belongs to Man’s spiritual aspect. Mawlānā explains that the qur’ānic āyah “wa-kuntu nasyam mansiyyā” is just such a call from Sayyidatunā Maryam to her Lord ﷻ, yearning to be unknown, to be nothing.
Salafis Must Seek It
Jun23 2010 English 46min
Man does not read himself but with a microscope researches intensively about the tiniest creature. The Creator creates but man does not know why. The Quran says: Our Lord You did not create this aimlessly. There is a secret wisdom in Man. The Salafi ulama falling into modernity debate about knowledge taught by the Creator to His Beloved, instead they must wear the “dress of righteousness” and “follow the steps” of those whose only aim is seeking Allah’s pleasure. Such people exist in our day. They carry the secret power of the Beloved. Salafis must seek it.
Salafi Ulama, ‘Open It!’
Jun22 2010 English 39min
The Salafi ulama must not criticise simple people working for their Lord’s pleasure, says Mawlana. Instead, they should inquire about the purpose of Man’s existence in this life, according to the command Allah Almighty set, for the Prophet (sas) to declare to people. Mawlana adds that the absence of the Caliphate is the reason for Muslim humiliation. Against their claim of being Salafi, Mawlana presses the ulama to use the wealth of the Saudi Kingdom to fight falsehood and broadcast against it. He says, “Open it” for the common man so that they may understand.
Oppose Western Lifestyle
Jun21 2010 English 39min
The Salafi ulama are proud in thinking they know everything. Mawlana caricatures the ‘alim’ (scholar) and the bedouin, in an amusing dialogue. He explains that Allah Almighty likes humility and obedience, not pride. Mawlana also questions the Doctors of Sharia for their lack of guidance of the Muslims. He urges them to oppose the Western lifestyle.
Towards Divine Presence
Jun20 2010 English 34min
People are seeking, but they don’t know what it is they want. The desires of the ego prevent them from reaching eternal happiness. Those whose hearts belong to the heavens know. They ask for something for their original being. When Pope Benedict visited Cyprus, his meeting with Maulana had a significance the common man would not be able to understand. Maulana explains the Pope was taking power for flying away. Flying towards Divine Presence.
Come Clean
Jun19 2010 English 44min
Prophets were sent to call people to cleanliness. The representatives of Shaytan are present in everyone. People’s egos make them think they are owners, commanders and controllers of everything. Allah Almighty ordered Sayyidina Musa, alayhi salam to remove his shoes as he was entering the sacred valley, Tuwa. What is the wisdom? Muslims remove their shoes before entering a holy place but as a symbol, explains Mawlana, they are those shoes that tread on the heart. Every dirtiness, inner and outer alters Truth, brings uncleanliness. Therefore Allah Almighty orders: If you want to come to Me, come clean.
Forbidding the Veil
Jun17 2010 English 53min
Man needs Allāh’s ﷻ support every second. Why was all this created? Wasting our most precious grant, we are losing. We are toying with Reality. Shayṭān has a purpose. Its creation must be the basis of moving closer to Allāh ﷻ. Now, it is impossible to move without the support of heavenly ones. Prophets were sent to advise people. What Allāh ﷻ granted the rich was to be shared with the needy. Forbidding the veil, as France has, carries a penalty. Passing a law over Muslim women requires that Muslim governments send France an ultimatum. Allāh’s ﷻ Order will prevail.
Heavenly Winds
Jun16 2010 English 38min
Paradise is the life that Allāh Almighty chooses for Man. Shayṭān, Allāh ﷻ warns is our greatest enemy, wanting us to remain imprisoned in darkness and fear. Our real being needs heavenly grants but the desire for material enjoyments prevents us from entering the Lord’s Beauty Oceans. Presence in meetings supported by the heavens is therefore crucial. Heavenly winds reach the Earth and give the real being a power, just as the spring winds revive Nature. The physical being must be keenly attentive in order to experience and take a share of the power of these Heavenly Winds.
The Perfection of Man
Jun15 2010 English 42min
According to Allāh Almighty’s Will, one walī controls everything on this planet. If Man understood the importance of his creation he would set down his forehead in obeisance, seeking Eternity. There is no aim greater than reaching the Lord’s heavenly presence. Unlike the disciples of Jesus (as) who asked for a heavenly spread of food for their physical being, the Prophet’s ﷺ Companions suffered hunger thereby reaching the real purpose of their existence. Now, the Ummah is occupied with the unimportant. They are heedless. They must gain self-knowledge and try to reach al-Kamāl: the Perfection of Man.
Man Needs to Open
Jun14 2010 English 40min
All knowledge is taking man to his Creator but the Salafī ‘ulamā’ are imprisoned inside four walls. They are not worthy of being addressed. They are incapable of understanding and the Prophet ﷺ said: address people according to their level of understanding. Advanced mathematics can help explain the universe but also in limits. None can reach the knowledge granted to the Prophet ﷺ. Now, when people pride their selves in knowledge, heavenly authority is being given for a new understanding but people are ignorant about such subjects. All prophets came to open peoples’ hearts. Man needs to open.
