The Day of Arafat
Jul28 2011 Arabic
We received the following email: saudis delayed the hijri calendar by one day. pl. Inform His Highness Sh. Nazim, that I had been verifying saudi hijri dates till 12th October, till that time it was haj akbar, but 15th October they changed the date , and 15th and 16th October both days the hijri date is 18th Zulqad. They delayed the calendar by one day so that there is no chance of Haj akbar. I have the scanned newspapers for 15th and 16th october. Then we found an old clip, filmed on the 28th of July, in which Mawlana speaks about the same point. Mawlana gave permission to broadcast this video. Mawlana, however, said that the dates in this sohbat are spiritual dates and that everyone should observe the official dates for the Day of Arafat and of Eid declared by their communities and have full trust in Allah.
So Relate the Stories (7:176)
Jul27 2011 Arabic
Mawlana says that the main goal for anyone who calls people to Allah, whether he is Imam or Wa'iz, is to soften people's hearts and to move their love for Prophet (sas). It is through that love that people seek the way of Allah. "So Relate the Stories - فاقصص القصص"

Jul27 2011 Arabic
Mawlana asked Shaykh Kayyal, the visiting 'Alim from Sham Sherif, if there is Monasticism in Islam. Is Monasticism permissible in Islam? What is the true meaning of monasticism? "And a Monasticism They Invented, We Have Not Made It Obligatory on Them (57:27) - و رهبانية ابتدعوها ما كتبناها عليهم". This Ayat proves that there is something for the nation of the Beloved (sas) to learn from it.

As If They Are Alarmed Donkeys, Fleeing From a Lion (74:50,51)
Jul11 2011 Arabic
"As If They Are Alarmed Donkeys, Fleeing From a Lion (74:50-51) - كأنهم حمر مستنفرة، فرت من قسورة" is a vivid Quranic description of the condition of unbelievers. It doesn't only describe the unbelievers in the time this holy verse was revealed, but its eternal truth extends to include the whole human condition of our times.
The City of Knowledge
Jul10 2011 Arabic
As he promised, Mawlana continues with the themes started in the earlier Sohbat, "The Introduction to Sohbat - المقدمة للصحبة". In "The City of Knowledge - مدينةُ العلمِ", Mawlana explains the conditions needed for acquiring knowledge, the unlimited levels of knowledge and the value of knowledge versus that of Edeb. Knowledge allowed 'Azazil to reach the stations of angles, but the lack of Edeb made him fall into that of Iblis. Then comes the Holy verse, "So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? (2:85) - أفتؤمنون ببعض الكتاب و تكفرون ببعض؟" and, with it, Mawlana's Fatwa which can be considered the most important Fatwa in our times.
